Shipping and Receiving Lead
Pacon Manufacturing CorporationJob Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Lead is responsible for assisting the shipping and receiving supervisor in receiving operations, coordinating team activities, and ensuring products are accurately received, stored, and shipped according to company standards. This role supports inventory management, maintains warehouse organization, and promotes a safe, efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate daily shipping and receiving operations. Supervise and support warehouse personnel, providing training and guidance as needed. Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and inspect materials for accuracy and damage. Prepare, package, label, and ship outgoing orders accurately and on schedule. Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and inventory transactions. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely (as certified). Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and shipping procedures. Organize warehouse space to maximize efficiency and maintain cleanliness. Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving inventory, shipping documentation, or damaged goods. Generate and maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory reports. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred. 3–5 years of warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software. Forklift certification or the ability to become certified. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Skills: Strong leadership and team-building abilities. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Basic math and inventory control knowledge. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures. Safely operate material handling equipment. Work Environment: Warehouse and distribution center setting. May require overtime, weekends, or flexible scheduling during peak periods. Regular interaction with carriers, vendors, production personnel, and customer service teams. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and delivering excellent service through timely and accurate shipping and receiving processes.
