Shipping and Receiving

Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Location: Moscow Road, Horton Michigan Every machine we ship depends on you! At Lomar Machine and Tool we build machines that ship all over the world. When a piece of equipment goes out the door, it needs the right parts, the right hardware, and the right paperwork with it. As our Shipping & Receiving Associate, you make sure it does. This is a detail-driven role for someone who takes pride in getting it right the first time. You'll handle a wide variety of parts every day, and your accuracy directly affects our customers' experience. What you'll do: Pull stock items and parts to go with each piece of equipment we ship Pack, box, and skid outgoing orders for customers and vendors Prepare sales orders and packing slips, and double-check every order for accuracy Unload trucks and check in incoming materials, logging receipts in our MRP system Ship parcels using UPS/FedEx software, including domestic and international shipments Operate lift trucks, hand trucks, and an overhead crane Keep stock areas and workstations clean, organized, and safe Run cycle counts to keep inventory accurate Let Plant Manager or designated individual know when shipping supplies are running low What you bring: Recent shipping and receiving experience (1-2 years preferred), ideally in a manufacturing or assembly setting Forklift experience A sharp eye for detail and the discipline to verify before you ship Comfort with Windows, Word, and Excel (Epicor ERP experience is a plus) Ability to read and understand blueprints Strong organization, time management, and basic math skills A dependable, positive, flexible attitude and the initiative to jump in High school diploma or equivalent preferred Physical requirements: Active, fast-paced role with repetitive motion and some heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. The plant environment is moderately quiet. Safety glasses, hearing protection when required, and OSHA-approved footwear are required. What we offer?
