Shipping and Receiving Coordinator – Level 1

At SnoBear, shipping and receiving is more than moving boxes. The person in this role helps make sure the right parts reach production, customer orders go out accurately, and completed SnoBear machines are ready to leave the facility. We’re looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work and is completely comfortable working on a computer. You’ll move between incoming freight, inventory records, production areas, shipping documents, and outgoing machines throughout the day. Accuracy matters at every step. Two requirements to know before you apply Strong computer skills are essential. You must be confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable learning and working in inventory and shipping software. Experience with inFlow Inventory is a significant asset. You’ll also use courier and freight-company software to prepare and process shipments. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required. This position will include local pickups or deliveries in a company vehicle. What you’ll do Shipping and outgoing orders Review orders and verify part numbers, quantities, condition, and shipping instructions before anything leaves. Pick, check, package, and label parts and customer orders. Process courier and freight shipments and prepare accurate labels, packing slips, bills of lading, and related documents. Arrange pickups, maintain shipment records, and provide tracking information when needed. Prepare completed SnoBear machines for shipment, verify their outgoing documentation, and assist with safe loading and securement. Receiving and quality checks Receive and safely unload incoming parts, materials, equipment, and freight. Compare deliveries with purchase orders, packing slips, and other receiving documents. Check part numbers, quantities, and condition. Identify and report damage, shortages, incorrect items, or other discrepancies. Keep questionable material separate so it does not enter production or get shipped to a customer. Record receipts accurately in inFlow Inventory, label materials, and move them to the correct location. Inventory and production support Work with Inventory to maintain assigned stock levels throughout the facility. Replenish production areas and record inventory movements in inFlow. Assist with counts and reconciliation, investigate discrepancies, and help keep storage locations accurate and clearly identified. Keep materials moving between receiving, inventory, production, and shipping without losing track of where they belong. Safety and teamwork You’ll help load and unload trucks, operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment once qualified, and keep the area clean and organized. You’ll work closely with Inventory, Production, and Administration, as well as vendors and freight carriers. You’ll follow our safety, quality, and inventory procedures and report equipment defects or material concerns promptly. What we’re looking for Strong computer skills and practical working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Confidence learning new software and using it accurately every day. Experience with inFlow Inventory is a significant asset. Experience using courier or freight-company shipping software, or the ability to learn it quickly. Experience preparing shipping, receiving, or inventory documents. Careful attention to detail and the confidence to stop and investigate when something doesn’t match. The ability to organize competing priorities and complete time-sensitive shipments. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record . Forklift certification or the ability to complete company-required training and qualification. The ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, part numbers, work instructions, and safety information.
