Position Skills and Responsibilities:
• Working knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
• Experience with Customs documentation
• Execute daily shipping and receiving activities with a focus on efficiency and accuracy
• Verify shipment documentation including bills of lading, packing slips and purchase orders
• Prepare, package and label outbound shipments in compliance with company standards and carrier regulations
• Operate material handling equipment (e.g. forklifts and pallet jacks)
• Communicate with internal departments to resolve shipment delays, shortages or damages
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers and third-party logistics providers to schedule and monitor outbound shipments.
• Customs experience is required
• Must be comfortable working with computers and have ERP system experience
• Consistently follows quality and safety policies and procedures
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a Team
• Clean and maintain work area
• Performs other related duties as assigned
