Company Overview: Since 1960, Viking-Cives has manufactured a wide range of truck equipment that makes snowy and icy roads safe for individuals, families, school buses, etc. We specialize in customizing snow and ice removal equipment for heavy municipal, county, and state trucks by installing a variety of specialized equipment. You may never have heard of us, but you have seen our trucks on the road as they make our snowy and icy roads safer for you, your family, and your friends. Our brand-new manufacturing and installation facility is opening in Battle Creek, Michigan (Viking-Cives Great Lakes Division). We are the fourth division in a growing corporation with locations across the United States and Canada. Job Summary: As a shipping and receiving team member, you will be THE go-to person we rely upon to help keep production stocked with required material by managing inventory. You'll also play a key role in scheduling shipping and receiving. We have many orders to fulfill and are ramping up for the next few years! A mindset of continuous improvement and outside the box thinking is important, as we constantly try to better ourselves in every aspect of what we do. Responsibilities Picking parts for jobs Inventory management Stocking inventory Operating forklifts to store pallet freight Conduct daily forklift inspections Continuous improvement Other duties and responsibilities as required; we are a Team, and we support each other! Qualifications A proven ability to be a respected, trusted, and reliable teammate Great interpersonal and verbal communication skills A demonstrated ability to collaborate up, down, and sideways Training and expertise in shipping equipment and inventory management Fantastic attendance and punctuality Strong time management and organizational skills Experience entering or retrieving date from ERP systems or other sophisticated computer software 3+ years of warehouse experience n the manufacturing or truck equipment industries HS diploma or GED is required Preferred consideration for candidates who have longevity with prior employers.
