Shipping and Receiving clerk

Overview We at Saloom Furniture are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and distribution processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving, along with a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and order fulfillment processes. Responsibilities Manage the shipping and receiving of goods, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to load and unload shipments. Maintain an organized warehouse environment by stocking products efficiently and accurately. Perform packaging tasks to prepare products for shipment, ensuring compliance with company standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure all orders are fulfilled correctly and on time. Conduct regular stock checks and assist in managing inventory levels. Support e-commerce operations by ensuring accurate order preparation for shipments. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating equipment within the warehouse. Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred. Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes, order picking, and packaging techniques. Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software. Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely. Strong basic math skills for inventory management tasks. Experience with e-commerce order fulfillment is a plus. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual accountability.
