Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation, packaging, and inventory control, and maintaining compliance with aerospace industry standards and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage; match packing lists to purchase orders and report discrepancies. Prepare and package aerospace components and products for outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with customer, carrier, and industry specifications. Generate shipping documents including packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping labels. Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments. Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP or warehouse management systems. Ensure materials are properly stored, labeled, and handled in accordance with safety and quality standards. Conduct cycle counts and participate in inventory audits. Comply with AS9100, ISO, ITAR, and other applicable aerospace quality and regulatory requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or supply chain training preferred. 2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry. Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and documentation (e.g., AS9100, ITAR). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification a plus). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Work Environment: This position operates in a warehouse and manufacturing environment and may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
