Shipping and Receiving Clerk and Driver

Job Overview DAFCO Aerospace is seeking a dependable and organized Shipping & Receiving Clerk / Driver to assist with daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inspecting, packaging, shipping, and transporting company materials and products. MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION. Key Responsibilities: Shipping & Receiving Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments. Prepare, package, label, and process outgoing shipments. Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records. Inspect materials for damage, shortages, and discrepancies. Organize warehouse materials and maintain a clean work area. Prepare shipping documents and bills of lading. Driver Responsibilities Safely operate company vehicles to transport and deliver materials and products. Load, unload, and inspect materials before and after transportation. Secure loads properly to prevent damage. Complete scheduled pickups and deliveries. Perform routine vehicle safety inspections. Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures. Qualifications & Requirements MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE — REQUIRED. Must maintain a valid driver's license throughout employment. Must have an acceptable driving record. Visual acuity sufficient to safely operate a motor vehicle under varying light/weather conditions, accurately discern fine text on shipping manifests, and detect safety hazards in a high-activity warehouse environment. Ability to maintain a stationary position for extended periods while operating vehicles, and the ability to move, position, or transport packages weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance across the facility. Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or delivery experience preferred. Basic computer and recordkeeping skills. Forklift experience preferred. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
