Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Description You will also be assisting Shipping and Receiving. Working in a safe environment while contributing to a culture of constant process improvement and lean initiatives. Keeping track of all materials, stock and equipment that is shipped in and out. Inventory reporting. Verifying and approving shipments (outgoing or incoming). Loading or unloading of materials. Filling out bills of lading, invoices, and other records required for the shipment of goods. Comparing prices and carrier services to obtain the best shipping rates. Communicating effectively with shippers, carriers, and their internal team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of goods. Loads truck with packages scheduled for the day's deliveries ensuring all cargo is properly packaged and secure to prevent damage or loss. Picks up returns and items for use by the company. Verifies goods received against packing slips and signs receipt. Assists in shipping and receiving as well as general shop duties upon completing delivery route. Must have a clean Class C California driver license for the last 3 years – must provide current MVR /DMV Report. Must be authorized to work in the US. Must be physically able to lift up to fifty pounds regularly in order to load and deliver packages. Self-Motivated/Team Player; must work well with others Knowledge of freeway system in Southern California and proficient with using a GPS system.
