Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Best BevJob Summary: The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments in a co-pack can facility. This role ensures that all products are received, inspected, documented, and stored properly, while also coordinating shipments to meet customer and production demands. The Clerk will collaborate with warehouse personnel, carriers, and internal departments to maintain an organized and compliant shipping and receiving process. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders. Ensure accuracy and document any discrepancies or damages. Use RF Smart to complete all receipts in the warehouse and generate pallet tags for all incoming materials. Notify Quality Assurance upon receipt of goods requiring quality checks. Ensure all required receiving paperwork is completed, signed, and properly documented. Prepare shipments by picking, staging, and verifying outbound orders against customer requirements. Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers for timely pickup and delivery of shipments. Accurately enter shipment data into the warehouse management system and maintain up-to-date records. Work closely with the warehouse and production teams to prioritize shipments based on production schedules. Maintain a clean and organized shipping & receiving area to comply with safety and regulatory requirements. Ensure all documentation, including Bill of Lading (BOL), packing lists, and labels, is accurate and complete. - Adhere to facility policies regarding shipping hours (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday) and manage exceptions as directed. Communicate with management regarding any delays, issues, or concerns in the shipping & receiving process. Assist in inventory cycle counts and stock reconciliations as needed. Qualifications & Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: 1-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or a warehouse environment (preferably in a manufacturing or co-pack facility). Experience: Warehouse management systems and RF scanning technology (RF Smart experience preferred). Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities. Basic knowledge of shipping regulations, freight logistics, and inventory management. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
