Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Position Scope: Aircraft X-Ray Laboratories Shipping Operator/ Driver is expected to perform general labor and deliver merchandise promptly and carefully to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional and cost effective manner aiming at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction. Perform pre-trip checks and safely drive company vehicles by following traffic laws Obtains daily driving and work assignments from supervisor May assist in loading and offloading of parts into vehicles/trucks using forklift Communicates and behaves in a professional manner with all AXL employees and its customers · Abide by safety and sanitation regulations. · Inspect materials, parts, vehicles, and equipment to detect defects or malfunctions, reporting any issues to the supervisor · Pick, pack, palletize parts ready for delivery · Assist in receiving, verifying, and counting parts delivered by suppliers and parts that are shipped by the company · Maintains a clean work area · Uses extreme care not to damage parts or facilities during the moving of parts Provide assistance to other departments · Work overtime, weekends, or various work shifts; if required. Supervisory Responsibility None Required Education and Experience · Valid Driver’s license · Minimum 2 years’ operating a forklift · Minimum 2 years of shipping/warehouse experience · Minimum 2 years of experience driving and delivering customer merchandise · Detail-oriented Additional Eligibility Qualifications None required for this position. Work Environment This position is exposed to outside weather conditions and a warehouse environment. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, this position is very active and requires constant driving, standing, walking, reaching, and crouching. The employee must frequently lift and move items weighing 50 pounds or less. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee must have the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make distinctions in sound. The employee will frequently handle, move, and lift materials by grasping and holding. Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week Work Location: In person
