• Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them, and distributing packages and letters within the company.
• Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure sufficient storage space for incoming items and adequate staff availability.
• Prepare regular shipping and receiving reports for managers, detailing goods shipped and received.
• Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.
• Package, lift, and place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
• Proficiency in shipping and receiving processes.
• Experience with blueprint reading and using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
• Ability to conduct visual inspections and quality checks.
• Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance practices.
• Capability to perform final inspections and assembly tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Forklift certification and ability to drive a forklift daily.
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Basic math skills, including counting, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors.
• Ability to multitask and remain on feet all day.
• Capability to lift up to 35 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 40 lbs.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Great attitude, energy, and effort.
• Good attendance is essential.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and self-start.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using ERP software, preferably Plex.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

Work Environment
This position is situated in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, demanding frequent interactions with production, quality, and logistics teams. There is a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and reliability. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, in a setting that values precision and teamwork.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Byron Center, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
