Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Reddy Raw Inc., the Northeast's leading frozen food re-distributor is looking for a junior shipping and receiving clerk to join our team. Applicants must be interested in a career in operations/warehouse management, be able to function in a fast paced work environment, and have some basic computer proficiency. There will be an emphasis on shipping documents including driver manifests, electronic logging devices and invoices. Other tasks may include: The following duties and responsibilities apply. Other duties may be assigned. Check and receiving of all incoming freight. Unloading containers which may be floor loaded or on pallets. Use of pallet jacks will be necessary for pallet loads and hand unloading and palletizing for floor loads. Training will be provided. Restack pallets of damaged product and/or for rack capability. You will be required to build pallets for the correct pallet count and stability for both incoming and outgoing shipments. Wrapping pallets and staging them for movement. All staff will be required to clean during their shift as needed or directed by management. Includes sweeping and picking up plastic and cardboard for recycling. Create and maintain a level of overall service that supports our corporate and department goals for complete and on-time delivery. Maintain all work areas and freezers and coolers for safety and OSHA regulations. Communicates clearly and directly with all warehouse supervisors and management concerning performance expectations, productivity, and accountability. Responsible for suggesting methods to improve area operations, processes, efficiency and service customers. Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, productivity, and continued improvement.
