JOB SUMMARY: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating the flow of materials, supplies, and finished goods in and out of the manufacturing facility. This role ensures accurate receipt, inspection, storage, and documentation of incoming materials, as well as the proper packaging, labeling, and shipment of finished products to customers. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production schedules, and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate deliveries. Key responsibilities include verifying and documenting incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders in accordance with customer requirements and company standards, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse/shipping area, and communicating with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments. Attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to safety and quality standards are essential. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive incoming materials, supplies, and products; verify accuracy against packing slips and purchase orders. Driving parts to outside vendors and picking up in the metro area with a transit van. Inspect incoming goods for damage, accuracy, and quality requirements; report discrepancies to Purchasing and/or Quality. Enter purchase orders and pack lists into ERP (JobBOSS) accurately. Stage, package, and prepare finished goods shipments per customer specifications and company standards. Create and maintain accurate shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, and Certificates of Conformance. Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and track deliveries. Maintain organized inventory of finished goods in designated storage areas. Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping and receiving area in compliance with 5S and OSHA safety standards. Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing and customer satisfaction. Ability to manage multiple projects. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent required. Drivers License required. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (JobBOSS, SAP, Oracle, or similar) desirable. Ability to read and interpret packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents. Experience with UPS is a plus. Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) required. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires standing 90% of shift. Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting with arms extended. Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. Requires good manual dexterity. ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES: Hearing and vision protection required in all areas. Exposure to oil, grease, dust, metal particles, sparks, sharp-edged materials. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Exposed to hazards/risks that require body protection (gloves, pants, steel toes-in some departments, sleeves, safety glasses, etc.).
