Shipping and E-Commerce Assistant+

Shipping & E-Commerce Assistant $30/hour | Part-time to Full-time | Growth Opportunity Sonoma & Napa Artefact Curator is a growing e-commerce business creating and selling design-driven products for the home. We are looking for a capable, ambitious and adaptable person to help with shipping, Shopify, inventory, and day-to-day operations. This a ground floor opportunity grow with the business. This is a hands-on role that combines physical shipping and receiving with e-commerce operations . You might be packing orders in the morning, uploading products to Shopify after lunch, and helping with an Instagram post later in the day. Responsibilities · Process and ship customer orders through Shopify · Print shipping labels and prepare documentation for UPS, USPS, FedEx, and other carriers · Pack products carefully and accurately · Receive incoming shipments and help organize inventory · Obtain shipping quotes and coordinate larger freight shipments · Upload new products into Shopify, including descriptions, images, pricing, and inventory information · Update existing Shopify products, inventory, and order information · Assist with purchase orders and data entry · Communicate with carriers, vendors, and customers when needed · Pitch in wherever needed as the business grows What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is: · Digitally fluent · Quick with technology · Energetic · Comfortable with apps and social media · Comfortable with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms · Accurate, organized and detail oriented · Resourceful and comfortable figuring things out · Able to lift 30+ pounds and handle physical packing, shipping, receiving, and moving products · Dependable and able to work independently · Happy working in a small business where the job can change from hour to hour Previous experience with Shopify, e-commerce, shipping, receiving, fulfillment, or inventory is preferred. This role may begin as a broad, hands-on support position, but for the right person there is real opportunity to take on more responsibility as the company grows.
