Shipping and Assembly Coordinator
ConfidentialJob Summary We are seeking an organized, dependable Shipping and Production Coordinator to support daily manufacturing operations. This role coordinates product assembly, prepares outgoing shipments and maintains accurate inventory and order records. Working closely with customers and quality teams, the coordinator helps ensure products are assembled correctly and shipped on time. Key Responsibilities Shipping & Receiving Coordinate outgoing shipments based on customer requirements, productions schedules, and delivery deadlines. Pick, pack, label, and verify orders for accuracy and completeness. Prepare shipping documents, including packing lists, shipping labels, and bills of lading Schedule pickups and communicate with carriers about shipment status and delivery issues. Receive incoming materials, verify quantites and condition, and report discrepancies or damage. Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records. Assembly Coordinator Organized daily assembly priorities with team Confirm that parts, tools, materials, and work instructions are available before assembly begins. Perform or assist with assembly using approved instructions, drawings and specifications. Monitor work progress and communicate shortages, quality concerns, or delays. Verify completed products meet assembly and packaging requirements before shipment. Inventory, Safety, and Process Improvement Track componenets, packaging supplies, and finished goods; flag replenishment needs. Assist with inventory counts and investigate discrepancies. Keep assembly, shipping and storage areas clean and organized. Follow company safety procedures and use required protective equipment. Operated material-handling equipment only when trained and authorized. Recommend improvements to workflow, order accuracy, and on-time delivery. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, shipping, receiving or warehouse operations. Strong organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills. Ability to read work instructions, packing lists and basic assembly drawings. Basic computer skills and experience entering inventory or shipment data. Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently and with a team. Ability to manage changing priorities in a production environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with inventory or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Familiarity with carrier shipping software and freight coordination Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment Forklift or pallet-jack training. Work Environment and Physical Requirements This position works primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, with exposure to machinery, noise, and moving materials. Duties may involve standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving products throughout the shift. The role requires handling materials weighing up to thousands of pounds using the appropriate equipement.
