The Opportunity Join Smurfit Westrock as a Shipper/Receiver/CDL, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials and finished goods throughout our operation. In this position, you will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, transporting materials between locations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting customer deliveries while ensuring compliance with all safety and transportation regulations. This role is critical to maintaining smooth operations and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers. A typical day may include operating lift trucks, loading and unloading trailers, verifying shipping documentation, performing inventory transactions, transporting materials between facilities, and ensuring shipments are accurate before leaving the facility. Day Shift:7am-7pm How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock Transport finished goods and raw materials safely between company facilities while complying with all Department of Transportation requirements and company safety policies. Load and unload trucks accurately to support production schedules and customer delivery requirements. Verify shipments against manifests, case labels, and barcode labels to ensure shipping accuracy and prevent customer mix-ups. Receive incoming materials and ensure inventory is accurately documented within company systems. Perform cycle counts and physical inventory activities to maintain inventory accuracy. Update inventory records and complete inventory adjustments as required. Wrap and band finished goods pallets to ensure product protection during storage and transportation. Operate lift trucks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate records and utilize computer systems for shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions. Maintain housekeeping and workplace organization standards throughout shipping and warehouse areas. Collaborate with team members across departments to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Follow all safety procedures, policies, work instructions, and environmental guidelines. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. What You Need to Succeed High school diploma or GED required. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. Good driving record and ability to maintain CDL qualifications. Ability to safely load, unload, transport, and store materials and finished goods. Lift truck certification or ability to obtain certification. Ability to use basic measurement tools, calculators, tape measures, and rulers. Basic computer skills, including data entry, email, and inventory management systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to follow instructions and accurately complete shipping and receiving documentation. Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, and physical inventory processes preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
