Shipper/Packer

Core Duties and Responsibilities: The assembler will prepare testing kits for customers and patients by packaging subassemblies, keeping records of subassemblies, and labeling products. Scope of responsibilities include (other duties may be assigned): 1. Packaging medical testing kits and subassemblies for storage or shipment 2. Keeping records of labels for received materials 3. Examining packing slips for accuracy 4. Following checklists and written instructions to maintain quality standards 5. Requirements and Qualifications: This is an entry-level position. Knowledge of medical devices and warehouse experience are not required but are beneficial. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to assemble packages; move boxes; and work with a computer. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and/or carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be operating in a storeroom or in an office environment. The employee will frequently have to navigate narrow spaces.
