Shipper and Receiver

meat wholesaler needs shipper receiver Monday to Friday 7am-4pm.Must be fit and willing to work in cold conditions. TASKS: Assemble and prepare outgoing orders Calculate and compare transport/ courier pricing and quotes using price list Prepare shipping documents for outgoing orders Pack, seal, and label all outgoing orders Receive incoming orders from manufacturer Breakdown, examine, and count all incoming orders Communicate with management to notify/rectify problems such as: Damages Shortages Overages Defective/discontinued items Transport the received items and physically stocking them in their location Light warehouse maintenance to maintain a clean work area Inventory counts and physical stock checks QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or G.E.D. Minimum 1 year experience in comparable position Bilingual Forklift certification an asset THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD BE: Able to work standing and lift boxes up to 55 pounds / 25 Kg Be well-organized, disciplined and self-motivated to achieve results Able to respond effectively to multi-tasking and execute in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment Able to work in team environment; remain calm under pressure Have good verbal and communication skills Have a flexible schedule with availability to work evenings and weekends, on occasion. Have a strong attention to detail and accuracy while ensuring a safe work environment.
