Shift Supervisor

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Shift Supervisor to lead our retail team through busy hours, ensuring smooth store operations and exceptional customer experiences. Responsibilities Supervise daily store operations during your shift, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. Lead and motivate team members, providing coaching, training, and development to enhance performance. Manage customer interactions with professionalism, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Oversee merchandising efforts, including product placement, pricing accuracy, and stock replenishment to maximize sales. Handle cash register operations, including cashiering duties, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management. Coordinate purchasing activities and assist with inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels. Conduct staff scheduling, delegating tasks effectively while ensuring coverage during peak hours. Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales goals. Enforce store policies related to safety, security, and customer service standards. Support marketing initiatives by promoting promotions and new products to customers. Requirements Proven supervising or team management experience of 2 years in a retail and food environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively. Multi-lingual abilities are preferred to serve a broader customer base. Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail sales processes. Experience with merchandising, pricing strategies, purchasing, and inventory control. Demonstrated ability in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently under pressure. Basic math skills for bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial reporting tasks. Customer service-oriented mindset with phone etiquette proficiency. Organizational skills for administrative tasks such as payroll processing and record keeping. Leadership qualities with a focus on motivating teams and fostering a positive work environment.
