Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Shift Manager to lead our retail team through daily operations, ensuring an exceptional customer experience and smooth store functioning. As a pivotal part of our management team, you will oversee sales activities, staff supervision, inventory control, and operational excellence during your assigned shifts. Duties Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management Lead and motivate sales associates to achieve sales targets while maintaining high standards of customer service Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment, merchandising, and inventory control practices Oversee employee orientation, training & development initiatives to enhance team performance and product knowledge Conduct interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes for new staff members to build a skilled retail team Handle scheduling, payroll processing, and bookkeeping tasks to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy Implement pricing strategies, promotional activities, and merchandising plans aligned with marketing goals Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and store procedures Utilize management skills to resolve customer issues promptly while maintaining positive relationships with clients Monitor sales data and retail math metrics to optimize store performance and support budgeting efforts Qualifications Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles within the retail industry with a focus on sales team management Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively and foster a collaborative environment Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customer engagement Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math for cash handling and bookkeeping Experience in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development programs Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies, sales management, budgeting, and operational metrics Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while multitasking across various responsibilities Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous but not required Organizational skills combined with managerial communication expertise to lead teams confidently Previous assistant manager or shift management experience within retail stores is highly desirable Join us as a Shift Manager and be part of an energetic team dedicated to delivering outstanding service while advancing your leadership career!
