Shift Manager

Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shift Manager to lead our retail team through dynamic store operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store activities, ensure outstanding customer service, and manage team performance to drive sales and operational excellence. Duties Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, and performance evaluations Manage sales floor activities to maximize retail sales, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain a welcoming environment Oversee stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory control to optimize product presentation and availability Handle employee scheduling, payroll processing, and recordkeeping with accuracy and efficiency Conduct interviews for new hires, participate in recruiting efforts, and facilitate employee orientation programs Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures at all times Requirements Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles within the retail industry sales team management experience preferred Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and communicate managerial expectations clearly Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic bookkeeping or payroll processes Knowledge of inventory management techniques including stock control and purchasing strategies Exceptional customer service skills coupled with effective phone etiquette and communication abilities Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases Demonstrated ability to handle negotiations, employee orientation, interviewing, training & development initiatives Basic math skills necessary for retail math calculations such as pricing adjustments and sales analysis Experience in grocery or retail store environments is advantageous; familiarity with merchandising and operational management is essential This role is ideal for someone passionate about leading teams in a vibrant retail setting while ensuring operational excellence.
