Shift manager

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Shift Manager to lead our retail team through busy operational hours with enthusiasm and confidence. As a pivotal part of our management team, you will oversee daily store activities, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain smooth operational flow. Duties Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling to ensure efficiency and accuracy Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, and performance management Oversee customer service interactions to guarantee a positive shopping experience and resolve escalated issues promptly Manage scheduling, shift assignments, and staffing levels to meet business needs during peak hours Monitor sales performance, analyze retail math metrics, and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales targets Conduct inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment, merchandising, purchasing, and inventory control Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, returns, and reporting while ensuring accurate cash handling and bookkeeping practices Requirements Proven supervisory or managerial experience within the retail industry, preferably managing sales teams or store operations Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative environment Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable Demonstrated proficiency in retail math, budgeting, payroll processing, and basic bookkeeping Knowledge of POS systems, inventory management software, and operational procedures including pricing and merchandising Experience with employee orientation, interviewing new candidates, recruiting efforts, and training & development initiatives Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately while maintaining phone etiquette and customer service excellence Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting Basic math skills necessary for retail math calculations such as discounts, sales totals, and inventory counts Join us as a Shift Manager where your leadership will directly impact store success!
