Shift Manager

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shift Manager to lead our retail team through dynamic daily operations. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the retail team during assigned shifts, providing clear direction and support to ensure operational excellence. Manage daily store operations including sales management, inventory control, merchandising, and cash handling procedures. Oversee customer service interactions to ensure a positive shopping experience, addressing concerns promptly and professionally. Coordinate employee orientation, training & development initiatives to enhance team performance and product knowledge. Conduct interviewing and recruiting activities to build a strong, capable team aligned with company standards. Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales processing, pricing adjustments, and transaction accuracy while managing payroll and bookkeeping tasks as needed. Monitor inventory levels, perform stock checks, and oversee purchasing to maintain optimal stock availability. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, manage cash handling procedures, and maintain accurate store records through effective bookkeeping. Support assistant managers in operational management tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and implementing merchandising strategies. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication skills, leadership, and organizational skills that motivate staff toward shared goals. Qualifications Proven supervisory or managerial experience within the retail industry or similar fast-paced environments. Strong knowledge of retail sales techniques, inventory management, POS systems, and cash handling procedures. Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly desirable. Demonstrated ability in employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, training & development. Proficiency in basic math for cash reconciliation, pricing adjustments, and inventory calculations. Experience with retail math concepts such as budgeting, sales analysis, and operational metrics. Skilled in managing multiple priorities with effective time management and organizational skills. Familiarity with retail industry standards including merchandising, stock replenishment, and customer service excellence.
