Set-up Technician-Plastic Injection Molding

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Set-up Technician specializing in Plastic Injection Molding to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and configuring injection molding machines to ensure efficient, high-quality production runs. Your expertise in industrial equipment, mechanical systems, and safety protocols will be essential in maintaining smooth operations and meeting production targets. Duties Set up, calibrate, and operate plastic injection molding machines, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to quality standards Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, or robotic system issues related to machine operation and production processes Conduct dimensional measurements and quality inspections on molded parts using precision measurement instruments to verify specifications Maintain accurate documentation of machine setups, process parameters, and production data for traceability and continuous improvement Handle materials safely using forklifts and proper materials handling techniques to ensure smooth supply chain flow Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and safety checks on machinery such as press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC machines, and robotic systems Assist with assembly tasks as needed, utilizing hand tools and machining skills to support manufacturing operations Requirements Proven experience with plastics injection molding, plastics extrusion, or plastics blow molding within a manufacturing environment Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC lathes, press brake machines, and robotic systems Familiarity with measurement (quality control) techniques such as dimensional measurements and the use of precision measuring instruments Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols Basic math skills for interpreting technical drawings, measurements, and process data Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; forklift certification is preferred Knowledge of safety procedures related to manufacturing environments and industrial equipment troubleshooting Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to engineering troubleshooting in a fast-paced setting Join our team as a Set-up Technician-Plastic Injection Molding and play a vital role in delivering high-quality plastic products through innovative manufacturing practices.
