SERVICE WRITER/ PARTS MANAGER

Parts Manager & Service Writer Al’s Mobile Marine is seeking a reliable, organized, and customer-focused Parts Manager & Service Writer to join our team. This is a full-time position responsible for managing our parts department while helping coordinate service work between customers and our technicians. We are looking for someone who communicates well, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and can manage multiple responsibilities throughout the workday. Previous experience in marine, automotive, powersports, equipment, or a similar service/parts environment is preferred. Compensation $25.00–$50.00 per hour , depending on experience, qualifications, and ability. Overtime opportunities are available, particularly during our busy season. Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Seasonal overtime and additional hours may be required during peak season Responsibilities Maintain and organize parts inventory Order parts and supplies as needed Receive, verify, and properly stock incoming parts orders Look up and identify parts for service jobs Communicate with customers regarding service needs, repairs, parts, and job status Generate and maintain customer work orders Coordinate with technicians to ensure required parts are available for scheduled work Prepare estimates and assist with service invoicing Process manufacturer warranty claims and maintain required documentation Track backordered and special-order parts Maintain accurate inventory and service records Assist with scheduling and coordinating service work Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, manufacturers, and technicians Help keep the parts and service departments organized and operating efficiently Qualifications Previous parts, service writing, automotive, marine, powersports, equipment, or dealership experience preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Good organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable working with computers, inventory systems, and service management software Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with marine engines and equipment is a plus Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable and professional Strong attention to detail Willingness to learn Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Overtime opportunities Competitive hourly compensation Consistent Monday–Friday schedule Opportunity for increased responsibility and compensation based on experience and performance Pay: $25.00–$50.00 per hour Expected Hours: Approximately 40+ hours per week, with additional seasonal hours during peak periods.
