Service Writer / Parts & Inventory Specialist All American Truck and Trailer Repair 4325 Moreland Ave, Conley, GA 30288 Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour, paid weekly Job Type: Full-time, on-site Schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week) Occasional weekends as needed Why Join Us? You’ll be the hub of our shop: you’ll handle parts procurement, inventory, service writing, and estimates, so customers stay informed and technicians have what they need to keep jobs moving. What You’ll Do Service Writing & Estimates Greet customers, gather truck and trailer repair information, and write clear, accurate repair orders. Build repair estimates using labor times, parts pricing, and technician findings, and present them to customers for approval. Keep customers updated on repair progress, additional findings, and completion times. Parts Procurement Identify, source, and order truck, trailer, and diesel engine parts. Help technicians with parts lookups and resolve parts-related issues. Build strong vendor relationships, and negotiate pricing, delivery times, and warranty terms. Inventory Management Monitor stock levels, perform cycle counts, and reorder to minimize downtime and overstock. Receive, check in, and stage parts for the correct repair orders. Process parts returns, cores, and warranty claims. Documentation Accurately record purchase orders, invoices, and parts usage. Keep repair orders and files organized and up to date. What You Bring 2+ years in a service writer, parts counter, or purchasing role (truck, trailer, diesel, or heavy-equipment experience preferred). Working knowledge of diesel engines and truck and trailer systems, including brakes, suspension, air systems, and lighting. Experience writing repair estimates. Comfort with shop management or inventory software, plus basic Excel skills. Strong customer service and clear communication, both verbal and written. Organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced shop. A team-player attitude in supporting technicians, drivers, and customers.
