Service Truck Mechanic

We rent and maintain heavy equipment for contractors, businesses, and individuals across the Texas Hill Country and surrounding area. Our fleet only earns its keep when it’s running, and our mechanics are the reason it does. The Role We’re looking for a hands-on mechanic to run our service truck. You’ll diagnose and repair equipment in the field at customer job sites and in our yard, keep our rental fleet safe and ready to go out, and help customers get back to work fast when something goes down. This is a role for someone who likes solving problems on their own and takes pride in doing the job right the first time. What You’ll Do Perform field diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment, including excavators, skid steers, loaders, lifts, trailers, and attachments Complete preventive maintenance and scheduled service on rental fleet equipment Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, engine, and drivetrain systems Operate and maintain the service truck, tools, and parts inventory Document work performed, parts used, and equipment condition clearly and accurately Communicate with customers on site in a professional and friendly way Follow all safety procedures in the shop and in the field What We’re Looking For 2+ years of experience as a heavy equipment, diesel, or field service mechanic (more experience means higher pay) Strong troubleshooting skills with hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical systems Ability to work independently in the field Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions Willingness to travel regularly to job sites Why Work With Us Competitive hourly pay with overtime Steady, year-round work Service truck provided A team that values reliable, skilled people and gives them room to grow Opportunity to work across a growing group of companies Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 per week Benefits: Paid time off Work Location: In person
