Service Truck Driver

C.W. Matthews Contracting Company is seeking a dependable and motivated Field Service Truck Driver to support our field operations. This position is responsible for transporting fuel, lubricants, tools, parts, and other essential supplies to construction jobsites throughout our operating areas. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced construction environment. This role plays an important part in keeping our equipment maintained, our crews productive, and our projects moving forward. - Key Responsibilities Safely operate company service trucks to transport fuel, lubricants, tools, equipment, and supplies to various construction jobsites. Provide field support to construction crews by delivering necessary materials, parts, and equipment. Assist with fueling and servicing heavy equipment and construction vehicles in the field. Perform basic equipment inspections and identify maintenance or repair needs. Maintain accurate records of fuel deliveries, equipment servicing, mileage, and vehicle inspections. Ensure all vehicles, tools, and service equipment are maintained in a clean and orderly condition. Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and applicable environmental requirements. Communicate effectively with mechanics, equipment managers, supervisors, and field personnel. Respond to service requests and changing jobsite needs in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned to support daily construction operations. Qualifications Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL), depending on assigned vehicle. Clean driving record and ability to meet company and DOT driving requirements. Previous experience operating service trucks, fuel trucks, or similar commercial vehicles preferred. Experience working in construction, heavy equipment, or trucking environments is a plus. Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with heavy construction equipment preferred. Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests throughout the day. Strong communication skills and a dependable work ethic. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around active construction sites. Ability to safely lift, carry, and handle tools, materials, and equipment as needed.
