Job Title: Service Technician – Aerial Lift & Heavy Equipment (Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts, Forklifts) Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $28–$42/hour, based on experience, plus overtime $28–$34/hr: 2+ years of relevant experience $35–$45/hr: 4+ years of experience and/or OEM certifications (JLG, Genie, Skyjack, etc.) Schedule: Monday–Friday, occasional overtime/on-call Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k); paid time off; paid manufacturer training and certifications About the Role American Scissor Lift is hiring a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain aerial lift and material handling equipment — both in our shop and at customer job sites across the San Francisco Bay Area. You'll work on scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers, forklifts, and related equipment for customers who count on us to keep their fleets running. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and mechanical systems Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections Troubleshoot equipment failures on-site at customer locations Read schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic codes Conduct safety inspections and operational testing Complete accurate service reports and work orders Maintain your company vehicle and tools Communicate clearly with customers about repairs and equipment status Follow OSHA and company safety protocols What You Bring 2+ years repairing heavy equipment, forklifts, aerial lifts, diesel engines, or similar Solid mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision Nice to Have Experience with JLG, Genie, Skyjack, MEC, Cat, Doosan/Bobcat, or SkyTrak equipment OEM certifications or formal technical training CDL Welding/fabrication experience Why Work Here Stable, year-round work with a company that invests in your skills — manufacturer training, safety certifications, and real advancement opportunities.
