ACS | Access Control Solutions is seeking an organized, proficient, and focused Service dispatcher to join our team in Madison, Alabama. Our Service Dispatchers play an essential role in our day-to-day operations. This position is responsible for managing service requests from the time they are received all the way through completion. This includes handling incoming field service calls, coordinating and dispatching subcontractors, communicating with customers and vendors, preparing estimates and invoices, maintaining service documentation, and ensuring each request is followed through until the job is complete. This is a fast-paced, high-energy work environment, and the ideal candidate must be comfortable managing multiple active service requests and priorities at the same time while remaining organized and focused. ACS is a dog-friendly workplace, and dogs may be present in the office during the workday. Applicants should be comfortable working around dogs. Responsibilities Receive and manage incoming field service calls and requests Gather accurate information regarding service needs and job requirements Create and maintain service requests, work orders, and related documentation Locate, coordinate, schedule, and dispatch subcontractors for service work Communicate job details and expectations clearly with subcontractors Maintain consistent communication with customers, subcontractors, and the ACS team Track active service requests and follow up on outstanding work Obtain job updates, photos, documentation, pricing, and other required information Prepare and send estimates for service work Assist with invoicing completed service requests Maintain accurate notes and records throughout the life of each service request Follow up to ensure scheduled work has been completed See each assigned service request through from initial call to final completion Keep customers and appropriate team members updated throughout the service process Assist with additional service and administrative responsibilities as needed Qualifications Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to remain focused while managing multiple tasks and service requests Ability to confidently communicate with customers, subcontractors, technicians, and team members Ability to use a computer and learn company software and systems Strong data-entry and general computer skills Ability to follow up consistently and keep track of outstanding items Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Professional phone and email communication Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Ability to take initiative and problem-solve Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team Comfortable working around dogs Previous dispatching, customer service, administrative, construction, facilities maintenance, or service-industry experience is preferred Schedule & Compensation Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Position: Full-Time Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour, with compensation based on experience and qualifications. That means keeping track of open items, following up when information is needed, communicating updates, coordinating subcontractors, preparing estimates and invoices, and making sure each request reaches completion.
