Service Coordinator

Job Summary As a Service Coordinator, you’ll keep transportation and logistics activities moving by coordinating dispatch, managing service requests, and maintaining accurate shipment and fleet information. You’ll communicate with customers, drivers, and internal teams to support timely, organized service. Duties Coordinate vehicle dispatch and road transportation operations using transportation management systems and vehicle dispatch software. Manage incoming requests through multi-line phone systems, apply professional phone etiquette, and provide responsive customer service. Enter and update shipment, fleet, and service data; support shipping and receiving and freight coordination. Communicate schedules and service updates across internal teams, customers, and transportation partners. Review operational information and use analysis skills to identify discrepancies and support transportation planning and supply chain activities. Skills Strong communication, organizational, typing, data entry, and phone call management skills; able to handle phone communication professionally. Working knowledge of logistics, transportation management, fleet management, and road transportation operations. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, transportation management systems, and vehicle dispatch software; experience with Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine is preferred. Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Positioning System (GPS) tools is preferred. Experience supporting dispatching, freight, shipping and receiving, or supply chain operations is an asset.
