Job Overview Wadena Truck and Trailer is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Service and Parts Foreman The Service & Parts Foreman is responsible for leading the daily operations of the parts and service functions, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient inventory management, and strong team performance. This role oversees parts ordering, stock control, vendor relationships, workflow coordination, and staff support to maintain operational efficiency, profitability, and a safe, organized work environment. Duties 1. Lead and oversee daily parts and service department operations to ensure efficient workflow, quality service, and timely completion of work. 2. Supervise, coach, and support team members by setting expectations, providing training, monitoring performance, and promoting accountability. 3. Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer needs, resolving escalated concerns, and maintaining positive relationships with customers and vendors. 4. Manage parts inventory levels, ordering processes, receiving activities, and stock accuracy to support operational and customer demands. 5. Coordinate with technicians and internal departments to ensure parts availability, service readiness, and efficient scheduling of work. 6. Monitor department performance, control costs, and identify opportunities to improve productivity, service levels, and profitability. 7. Maintain compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards across the department. 8. Perform other duties and leadership responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED required; post-secondary education in business, diesel technology, automotive technology, or a related field preferred 3+ years of experience in parts, service, fleet maintenance, or a related operational environment preferred Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills Solid understanding of truck and trailer parts, service operations, and inventory control practices Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills Proficiency with inventory systems, work order processes, and basic computer applications Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack or become certified as required Dependable, organized, and results-driven Ability to lift 35-100 lbs.
