Serialization Technician - (2nd Shift 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Serialization Technician on 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)! In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate serialization and tracking of products throughout the packaging process, supporting compliance with industry regulations and quality standards. Your attention to detail will help maintain seamless production flow while safeguarding product integrity. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced serialization systems and packaging equipment in a fast-paced, safety-focused pharmaceutical packaging environment. Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM Essential Functions: Set up and configure the packaging line to ensure product is correctly serialized, verified, and aggregated. Provide technical support on the packaging floor to troubleshoot serialization software and hardware, escalating to vendor support when needed. Check serialization product templates in Systech Guardian (serialization software and server), using customer and Nutra-Med provided inputs, in conformance with customer, GS1, and GMP requirements. Configure line-level software and hardware for serialization of prescription product bottles and cartons, including setting the correct product template with variable data such as lot, expiration, PO, quantity, and shipping destination. Set up and configure unit printers to print correct data in the proper orientation, size, and placement. Set up and configure inspection cameras for optical character recognition (OCR) and optical character verification (OCV) to confirm print accuracy and quality. Set up barcode scanners to verify the readability and content of serialized 2D Data Matrix barcodes, and configure case and pallet label printers for optimal print quality at required line speeds. Other duties as assigned. Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience operating packaging machines or industrial equipment in a pharmaceutical, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing setting is preferred. Experience with serialization systems (Systech or similar), vision systems, or label printers is a plus. Mechanical knowledge or machining experience is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues. Basic math skills for measurements, data entry, and quality calculations. Familiarity with GMP, production safety standards, and material handling equipment is highly desirable. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while maintaining high attention to detail and safety compliance.
