Main Duties and Responsibilities The Senior Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations and supporting Building Leads and operational teams to achieve productivity, service, safety, and quality objectives. Key responsibilities include: Supervise, plan, assign, coordinate, and review the work of employees engaged in shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and maintaining inventory and other related warehouse activities. Plan and coordinate operational activities with Building Leads to maintain efficient workflow and minimize operational downtime. Work closely with Building Leads to achieve daily operational targets, meet forecasted volumes, monitor performance, and analyze variances to ensure building targets are achieved. Train and support new Warehouse Supervisors and Shipping Associates to ensure compliance with operational requirements, company procedures, and established SOPs. Act as an escalation point for operational discrepancies, damages, shortages, receiving issues, and other warehouse-related concerns, ensuring issues are properly documented, investigated, and resolved. Ensure Building Leads and warehouse staff comply with applicable workplace health and safety requirements, security policies, company procedures, and operational standards. Regularly prepare, review, and submit operational and performance reports. Coordinate maintenance and repair work to support safe and uninterrupted warehouse operations. Requisition and order materials, equipment, supplies, and other operational resources as required. Evaluate Warehouse Supervisor performance and provide coaching, direction, corrective guidance, and additional training when required. Support Building Leads in maintaining safe, organized, clean, and operationally efficient warehouse facilities. Investigate and resolve operational complaints, problems, and requests in a timely and professional manner. Assist with emergency response procedures and workplace evacuations when required. Perform the same or similar operational duties as supervised employees when required to support business needs. Requirements Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Facility Management, or a related field. Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, logistics, distribution, or a related operational environment. Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is strongly preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, customers, vendors, and service providers. Forklift certification/licence is considered an asset. Candidates with previous forklift certification that has expired may be considered, provided they are willing and able to complete recertification. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented approach to operational challenges and continuous improvement. Ability to analyze operational performance, identify variances, and implement appropriate corrective actions. Ability and willingness to work in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment and coordinate effectively across departments. Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage a complex and varied workload while meeting operational deadlines.
