Are you experienced in non-asset based 3pl brokerage? Want to represent a national top 20 3pl/best in class company? We are looking for a Senior Transportation Broker to join our team! The Senior Transportation Broker will work with the sales and operations force within a branch office to drive results. If this is you - let’s talk!
• Manage high-level carrier relationships and draw on your unique skills, abilities and competencies to secure capacity.
• Develop systems and processes for effective carrier identification, qualification and management.
• Negotiate and secure favorable rates with carriers to maximize margins.
• Build and maintain a strong carrier base.
• Carry out strategies through carrier contact, market analysis, effective follow-up and relationship management.
• Work with the sales team to maximize the volume of loads from customers through ongoing meetings and strategy sessions.
• Uphold the company standard following the company principles of Customer, Company, Office.
3 year minimum non-asset based 3pl brokerage experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Deep experience in Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, and/or LTL freight
Excellent verbal and written skills
Effective at problem resolution and high-pressure negotiation
Self-Motivated and driven with an eagerness to work as a team player
Able to work independently but also in a team environment
Driven, dependable, and eager to learn
Natural communicator with strong people skills
Computer & technology literate
