About the Role
As a Senior Tactical Purchasing Analyst, you will lead negotiations, sourcing activities, contract issuance, and comprehensive commodity management within the GBS Shared Purchasing Services (SPS) team. This role requires analytical prowess, initiative, and independent judgment as you collaborate with various stakeholders, including Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Purchasing, Legal, and IT.
Responsibilities
• Manage and cultivate key supplier relationships using strategic sourcing practices for assigned indirect purchasing commodities.
• Stay knowledgeable about program timelines, supplier lead times, and capacity.
• Identify and realize cost-saving opportunities through bidding processes, eAuctions, catalogs, blanket contracts, and spend analytics.
• Meet cost-savings targets and support ongoing process improvement initiatives.
• Properly route low-value and emergency purchase requests to the Transactional Purchasing Services team.
• Work with stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies aligned with market trends and pricing dynamics.
• Oversee the entire purchasing sourcing process, including bid selection, RFQ development, supplier negotiation, and contract issuance.
• Ensure compliance with corporate purchasing policies and procedures for all sourcing and contract activities.
• Address and resolve commercial issues with suppliers effectively.
• Provide support to teammates as necessary.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in negotiating, sourcing, and managing contracts.
• Familiarity with indirect purchasing commodities is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and SAP.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (B2 level or higher); proficiency in another European language is a plus.
• Demonstrated negotiation abilities and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex issues.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Please note, actual salaries may vary based on experience and location. The estimated salary range for this role is $63,000 - $72,000.
