About the Opportunity: The SENIOR SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER role is pivotal in enhancing and optimizing the supplier base to improve overall supplier performance and innovation. The position leads a team dedicated to supplier development, ensuring the supply chain meets quality and delivery expectations. This role directly impacts project success and supports the organization's growth by managing supplier relationships, overseeing engineering projects, and driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities: Develop and implement supplier development strategies aligned with organizational goals. Lead and mentor supplier development engineers and professionals. Establish and monitor supplier performance standards and conduct assessments. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in supplier processes and products. Maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. Identify and support supplier capability development. Assess and manage supplier-related risks. Pursue cost-effective solutions without compromising quality. Lead heat exchanger pack projects from start to finish. Manage engineering projects and necessary changes for end items. Track and resolve manufacturing issues using tools like Jira. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams. Monitor projects to ensure timely delivery and compliance with standards. Provide technical guidance and support. Analyze engineering drawings and support related inquiries. Requirements: Minimum 6 years of experience in supplier development, engineering, or related leadership. Proficiency in budget management and financial understanding. Strong knowledge of supplier development, relationship management, and quality control. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills. Preferred: Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or related field. Experience with Jira, Teamcenter, SAP, and aerospace industry standards. Understanding of customer submittal processes for Airbus and Boeing. Knowledge of change management processes, heat exchangers, valves, and relevant parts. Leadership capability and ability to work in cross-functional teams. Must comply with U.S. export control laws; U.S. person status required. Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. Pay Range and Compensation Package: For Minnesota, the annual base salary range is $97,000 to $122,000, with offers based on position scope, candidate experience, education, skills, and market factors.
