What to Expect The team is seeking a hands-on Senior Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Specialist who will be responsible for the full purchasing lifecycle—from sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to placing purchase orders, managing inbound freight, and navigating tariffs and trade requirements. This role is critical to keeping our supply chain efficient, compliant, and cost-effective. This role reports directly to the CFO. What You’ll Do Source and evaluate domestic and international suppliers for materials, components, and services Negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and freight responsibilities with suppliers Create, issue, and manage purchase orders (POs) to ensure timely and accurate delivery Track and manage incoming freight, coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams Monitor shipments, resolve delays or discrepancies, and ensure on-time delivery Address tariffs, duties, and trade compliance requirements; work with customs brokers as needed Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing data, and supplier documentation Collaborate with operations and finance to forecast demand and control costs Evaluate make-versus-buy opportunities in partnership with Engineering and Production Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, value engineering, and process improvements What You’ll Bring Collaborative team player with positive attitude Outstanding integrity, attention to detail, and confidentiality Self-starter, quick learner, and ability to multi-task on a regular basis Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team Enjoys variety of the job with no task that’s too big or too small Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics & integrity on the job Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations Proven experience sourcing international suppliers and negotiating pricing, terms, and lead times Hands-on experience creating and managing purchase orders (POs) Working knowledge of inbound freight and logistics, including coordination with carriers or freight forwarders Familiarity with tariffs, duties, and basic import/export or trade compliance requirements Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a cost-conscious mindset High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with ERP/MRP or purchasing systems and Microsoft Excel Ability to work regular office days/hours (Monday through Friday, in our office) Compensation and Benefits Excellent compensation, based on experience & benefits Salary based on experience Health insurance Paid time off 9 paid holidays throughout the calendar year 401(k) plan Voluntary benefits including dental, life, and disability This Company Describes Its Culture as Amazing team of colleagues and leaders Results oriented with strong performance culture Detail oriented with quality and precision focus Take ownership of task that will advance the team Fast paced with ability to make and execute decisions in small team environment Work Location Plymouth, MN Pay: $85,…
