You will lead supplier selection, negotiation, onboarding, qualification coordination, launch readiness, and performance, with particular focus on new product introduction, dual sourcing, and continuity of supply.This is a senior individual-contributor role with no direct reports. Manager reflects accountability for sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, spend, contracts, risk, and results.
What You Will Do: Develop category and supplier strategies aligned with growth, NPI, production ramp‑up, cost, capacity, quality, and supply‑resilience priorities. Lead market analysis, RFIs, RFQs and RFPs, total‑cost evaluation, negotiations, supplier selection, awards, and agreements. Assess suppliers for capability, capacity, processes, quality systems, financial health, scalability, compliance, and risk.
Coordinate supplier onboarding and qualification across Engineering, Supplier Quality, Operations, Planning, Finance, and other functions, with clear milestones, owners, risks, and escalations. Facilitate product and part qualification, including specifications, samples, tooling, first articles, validation, deviation closure, approvals, and production release. Engineering and Quality own technical requirements, validation decisions, and formal approval; you drive supplier response, timing, commercial
