Position Overview The senior sourcing & production coordinator will support sourcing and production for our legwear department and report to the VP of production & legwear. The senior sourcing & production coordinator will work closely and liaise between vendors, design, product development, and sales. They will act as the main support for sourcing and production; facilitate cost negotiations, create & manage orders, follow up on the manufacturing of orders to drive the on-time delivery of a quality and profitable product, as well as meeting other goals. Responsibilities Sourcing: Comp shops throughout the year; find product inspiration, look for packaging ideas, make note of brand and retail on the floors. File and share all photos in our shared legwear shopping folder. Buy and source product with our manufactures. Review shopping photos submitted by internal team members; file relevant photos, and apply relevant ideas to our brands. Kick off new development requests with our suppliers, i.e., inquire on new yarns/product for our consideration. Support growth within our brands via new product ideas. Counter source in countries outside of China to help diversify production in other countries. Participate in line review presentations with our core customers; make note of their feedback and apply necessary changes to our branded lines. Vendor Relationship Communicate and follow up with overseas vendors daily. Send stock and customer inquiries to vendors. Request pricing from vendors. Negotiate costs and calculate landed costs to check margins. Liaise between sales and production for special customer inquiries i.e., testing, packing requirements, warehouse destination. Help ensure on time deliveries. Reporting & Processes Achieve deadlines set forth in the production calendar by season. Create and maintain work in progress charts as needed. For example; line plan overview, production tracking tool, pending cut to order chart, Chinese New Year pending matters etc. Manage master charts by brand with all style info. PLM adoption Style master setup and maintenance. Purchase order entry. Determine the proper HTS codes for all products. Follow up, review, and maintain test reports. Onboard new customers and ensure we remain compliant throughout the production process. Operations & Inbound Logistics Request estimated carton dimensions and CBMs from vendors and submit to compliance to be uploaded into our ERP site. Monitor orders and manage a master booking sheet for all open orders up until a shipment is arranged. Analyze and assess delay request forms from overseas offices and factories. Check sales orders effected and communicate updated due date to sales. Pay Transperancy - $75,000 - $85,000 What We’re Looking For 3-4 years of apparel or accessory production experience Ladies experience preferred Wholesale experience preferred Experience working with global manufacturers Strong knowledge of WIP and T&A calendars Organized with excellent follow up skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working collaboratively and communicating with multiple teams What Success Looks Like To be most successful in your role, the candidate should already understand the fundamentals of sourcing & production and quickly adapt to the company’s specific processes and systems. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with continuous desire to learn and grow and is a proactive problem solver able to troubleshoot and escalate matters effectively. You should be able to look at your assigned brands, understand the status of sourcing & production, what needs to happen next, which critical dates are approaching, and when something requires immediate attention.
