Noetic Strategies Inc.Senior Software Developer – Application PackagingSystems Administration Location: Katherine Johnson IV&V Facitlity, Fairmont WV Clearance Requirement: Public Trust Summary Noetic Strategies is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to support software packaging, application deployment, endpoint management, automation, and compliance operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience packaging and distributing Windows applications, administering endpoint management platforms, developing automation scripts and workflows, and troubleshooting software deployment issues. This role also supports system compliance, vulnerability mitigation, software inventory management, and IT service workflows. Primary Responsibilities Software Packaging and Deployment Support and maintain more than 100 software applications deployed across workstations and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). Create, modify, and optimize MSI packages and MST transforms from vendor installations and legacy applications. Convert executable installers and legacy installations into silent MSI packages using application repackaging tools. Develop custom installation actions using PowerShell and VBScript to support application configurations and registry modifications. Troubleshoot installation errors, analyze log files, resolve file and registry conflicts, and test packages in clean virtual machine environments. Validate MSI databases using tools such as Flexera AdminStudio and resolve internal consistency errors. Endpoint Management and KACE Administration Administer and maintain virtual and physical Quest KACE Systems Management Appliance (SMA) environments. Manage the deployment, troubleshooting, and lifecycle of KACE agents across network-connected devices. Package, test, and remotely deploy applications and scripts using KACE, PowerShell, VBScript, and shell scripting. Develop automated verification and remediation processes to address endpoint compliance issues. Conduct hardware, software, and network peripheral discovery scans and maintain software inventory records. Track software usage, manage license information, and generate compliance reports. Create and maintain Smart Labels using advanced filtering and LDAP queries to target devices and user groups. Develop custom SQL and system-generated reports covering hardware lifecycles, patch levels, and software compliance. Configure and maintain service desk workflows, ticket queues, and knowledge bases. BigFix Administration Maintain BigFix infrastructure, including core servers, relays, and database components. Monitor system health and optimize relay configurations for efficient network bandwidth utilization. Troubleshoot agent connectivity issues and resolve software deployment failures. Develop and test Fixlets and tasks for software deployment and system configuration. Manage third-party application updates to help reduce security vulnerabilities. Generate compliance reports for management and audit requirements. SharePoint and Workflow Automation Administer SharePoint sites, document libraries, lists, metadata, and item-level permissions. Develop and maintain Microsoft Power Automate workflows supporting internal IT processes. Integrate SharePoint and Power Automate with Power Apps and external REST APIs. Monitor workflow execution and troubleshoot integration errors. Compliance and Reporting Monitor security vulnerability and mitigation notices and implement required remediation actions. Perform routine system and patch compliance checks to verify that systems receive critical security updates. Participate in technical coordination meetings related to BigFix administration, updates, and system changes. Maintain technical documentation and support change management procedures.
