Senior Seamstress/Supervisor

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Seamstress/Supervisor to lead our sewing team with expertise, enthusiasm, and a keen eye for quality and detail. In this dynamic role, you will oversee daily sewing operations, ensure high standards of craftsmanship, and supervise a team of seamstresses. Your leadership will drive efficiency, uphold safety protocols, and maintain exceptional product standards. Responsibilities Supervise the sewing team to meet production goals and quality standards Sew, alter, and repair a variety of garments with precision and attention to detail Provide hands-on sewing support, demonstrating techniques and troubleshooting issues as needed Ensure all garments and products are sewn accurately according to specifications and customer requirements Work with Operation Manager to monitor workflow, optimize processes, and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste Conduct regular quality checks, inspecting finished items for defects or inconsistencies Train new team members on sewing techniques, safety procedures, and company policies Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and proper equipment handling Skills Strong proficiency in sewing techniques across various fabrics and materials Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively Basic math skills for measuring, adjustments, and inventory management Exceptional attention to detail to ensure precision in every stitch Good communication skills to provide clear instructions and feedback Customer service orientation to understand client needs and uphold quality standards Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high-quality output Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits: Casual dress Dental care Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Vision care Experience: professional sewing: 5 years (required) Language: fluent English (required) Work Location: In person
