Responsibilities
• Lead sourcing initiatives by identifying reliable vendors and evaluating their capabilities to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships through regular communication, performance evaluations, and negotiations to secure favorable terms.
• Utilize ERP systems to process purchase orders, monitor inventory levels, and ensure accurate data entry.
• Analyze pricing trends, conduct market research, and implement cost-saving initiatives within the procurement process.
• Oversee the management of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess stock.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations while maintaining transparency in sourcing activities.
• Support supply chain continuity by proactively addressing potential disruptions and coordinating alternative sourcing options.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Specialist or Buyer within the Public Sector
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems, and supply chain management tools.
• In-depth understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and negotiation techniques.
• Familiarity with pricing analysis, sourcing strategies, and procurement best practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective vendor relationships.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
