This position is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, strengthening supplier relationships, improving material availability, and leading a team focused on supporting operational and business objectives. This opportunity is well-suited for a procurement leader who can balance strategic decision-making with a strong understanding of the daily challenges facing a manufacturing supply chain. Job Description Direct and develop purchasing operations to ensure uninterrupted support of manufacturing requirements Establish sourcing strategies that improve supplier performance, reduce risk, and support long-term business objectives Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers while identifying opportunities for cost savings and value creation Lead contract negotiations and commercial discussions related to pricing, lead times, service levels, and supplier agreements Collaborate with operations, engineering, planning, and finance teams to align procurement priorities with business needs Monitor inventory levels, purchasing trends, and material requirements to improve service levels and working capital performance Evaluate supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to maintain business continuity Drive initiatives focused on process improvement, operational efficiency, and procurement best practices Utilize data and reporting tools to support decision-making and measure departmental performance Coach and develop procurement team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
