Senior Project Manager, Global Product Development - G&S - GWW - US

Position Purpose: This role is part of Gilchrist & Soames’s Global Project Management Organization whose mission is to drive the execution of all New Product Development and program transitions to specifications, budget and time as specified by Gilchrist & Soames Project Sponsors. The Sr. Project Manager (Sr. PM) has a higher level of expertise, furnished by in-depth knowledge of project management and extraordinary skills in the discipline. The knowledge and skills of a Sr. PM include strategic planning of a focused program; the analysis of business activities, expenses, profits and established goals; and the communication of strategy throughout the organization; driving actions and results to meet the project specifications and deliverables. The Sr. PM will lead and execute projects in support of the Gilchrist & Soames Business Plan. The Sr. PM works on all project types with emphasis on Global Chain, Innovation Development and cross-functional dept. objectives and conducts and owns the lifecycle of each project from start to finish. The Sr. PM drives all phases of development including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closing of all assigned projects, and maintaining the working relationship with cross functional Subject Matter Experts to ensure their input is captured and supports the requirements of the project’s success. They are the liaison between the brand, vendors and all valued cross-functional departments including Sales, Research & Development, Design, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Bulk manufacturing, and Fill production to align on all phases of Development, launch and program management. The Sr. PM ensures all milestones with a focus on delivering the project on-time, within budget and global compliance with accuracy. The Sr. PM will resolve all critical issues with tactical planning to bring any projects back on track if facing obstacles. Primary Responsibilities: Requirements gathering and scope alignment for all assigned projects working directly with the Project Sponsor(s); including collaboration with but not limited to Global Design, Global Marketing, Global Brand, Engineering, Supply Chain, Research and Development, cross-functional stakeholders. Work with Regional PM’s and global cross-functional teams to ensure global consistency for all Chain, stock and innovation projects. Interface as a conduit with our valued business partners to scope, plan, manage, and drive all steps in the lifecycle of any new projects or existing program management. Counsel sponsors on more strategic issues. Bridges business requirements with process and sets team members and projects up for success at each project initiation. End-to-end project execution initially from the project kick-off, design, and development stages, ensuring a seamless transition of management and client approved final design for artwork execution. Responsible for developing timelines, P&L’s and NPIF’s once the project is moved forward to launch in alignment with project briefs or multiple projects. Ensures project aligns with the G&S mission & vision as well as the project sponsor’s brief. All projects will track on time, in budget and meets the customer’s expectations. Drive action and solution-based results. Interface with the Global PD team & Cross Functional Subject Matter Experts in order to ensure design and formulation chemistry Research and Development has all of the requirements in order to develop packaging, graphics and formulations that meet the mark; interface with Research and Development on all NPD formulations to ensure compliance are upheld. Clearly defines manufacturing capabilities, location(s) and all costs associated with the program are understood.
