Senior Project Manager - Commercial Construction - equity opportunity

KLK Executive Solutions has been retained by Burdco Incorporated to identify a Senior Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from pre-construction through completion. Burdco is an award-winning design/build construction firm serving Northern Michigan for over 40 years. Key Responsibilities Lead commercial construction projects (new construction and renovations/remodels) from start to finish Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, and execution plans Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control, and change orders Analyze drawings and specifications to create scope descriptions, trade packages and material take-offs and generate comprehensive labor, equipment, and material costs for the estimating process. Serve as primary client contact and maintain strong client relationships Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and design partners Ensure quality, compliance, and on-time delivery to company standards Identify and resolve project risks and operational challenges Represent Burdco professionally with clients and project stakeholders Desired Requirements Approximately 10 years of commercial construction project management experience Experience managing both new construction and renovation/remodel commercial projects Design-build project experience preferred Strong knowledge of commercial construction means, methods, sequencing, and project delivery Proven ability in scheduling, subcontractor management, procurement, and quality control Strong financial skills: budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and change order administration Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship skills High accountability, initiative, and ownership Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred Work Environment Based in Traverse City, Michigan (onsite) Regular travel to project sites in the regional service area Frequent presence on active construction sites (walking uneven terrain, climbing stairs/ladders, working in varying weather conditions) Compensation Highly competitive base compensation with opportunity for equity!
