Signature MillworkSenior Project Manager – Architectural Millwork Department: Operations Reports To: Company Leadership Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager – Architectural Millwork to become a key leader within our Operations team and serve as the driving force behind projects from contract award through final completion and closeout. This position is responsible for keeping projects organized, profitable, on schedule, and moving forward while coordinating customers, General Contractors, estimating, engineering, production, purchasing, accounting, and field operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can think ahead, identify risks before they become problems, make sound business decisions, and take full ownership of project outcomes. Key Responsibilities Own projects from contract award through final closeout. Manage project costs, schedules, budgets, commitments, and overall profitability. Identify project risks, delays, scope gaps, and potential issues before they impact the project. Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, scope changes, and project documentation. Ensure all billable work is properly identified, documented, priced, approved, and billed. Coordinate engineering, purchasing, production, finishing, delivery, and installation activities. Serve as a primary point of contact for General Contractors, customers, architects, designers, and project stakeholders. Hold internal teams, vendors, subcontractors, and installers accountable to project deadlines and commitments. Review job costs regularly and forecast final project costs and profitability. Work closely with accounting on billing, collections, retainage, change orders, and project financials. Coordinate closely with the Field Superintendent to maintain installation schedules and keep jobs moving. Monitor material procurement, fabrication progress, long-lead items, deliveries, and site readiness. Communicate project priorities and potential issues clearly to company leadership. Provide leadership with clear visibility into project status, financial performance, risks, and required action. Participate in project meetings and maintain strong relationships with customers and construction partners. Help develop, document, and improve company processes as the business continues to grow. Promote quality, safety, accountability, and professionalism throughout the project lifecycle. What We're Looking For 10+ years of commercial construction and/or architectural millwork project management experience. Strong architectural millwork, casework, or high-end commercial woodworking experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of job costing, scheduling, contracts, purchasing, change orders, and project financial management. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and profitability. Strong knowledge of architectural drawings, specifications, details, elevations, sections, finish schedules, and hardware schedules. Excellent communication, negotiation, organization, and leadership skills. Strong business judgment and problem-solving ability. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. A proactive individual who takes ownership and does not wait to be told what needs to be done. Ability to identify problems early and develop practical solutions. Procore, Bluebeam, and advanced Excel experience preferred. Strong understanding of the relationship between project management, engineering, manufacturing, and field installation. Preferred Qualifications – Architectural Millwork 10+ years of hands-on experience managing architectural millwork, casework, or high-end commercial woodworking projects.
