Senior Project Manager Location: MPM Tacoma Position Type: Full-time | Hourly Pay Range: $93,548 – $143,920 Salary Job Summary The Sr. Project Manager plans, coordinates, and executes Vessel Repair and Maintenance Projects from initial planning through final delivery and all other tasks assigned by Operations Manager and Executive Team. This role serves as a key link between Customers, Subcontractors, field operations, and internal departments to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Planning, organizing, and prioritizing both short-term and long-term project objectives in coordination with Executive team, Project Managers and supervisors. Oversee projects being managed by Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers. Coach, guide and train personnel in the Project Manager team. Development and execution of project schedules, ensuring clear communication of timelines and milestones. Coordinate in-house labor and subcontractor activities to maintain efficient workflow and project continuity. Monitor daily project progress, track performance metrics, and communicate updates to Operations Manager and Executive team. Participate in project meetings, including planning, progress, and strategy discussions. Support procurement efforts by submitting purchase request forms to source materials, equipment, and services required for successful project completion. Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and contract requirements to support execution teams. Resolving field issues by coordinating with supervisors and trades to maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards. Contribute to estimating and bidding efforts, including ship checks, scope development, and cost input as assigned by Operations and Executive Management Team. Track project labor hours, and material usage to support budget control and forecasting. Prepare reports related to progress, scheduling, and performance for the team and customers. Perform project closeout activities, including documentation, cost reconciliation, and performance analysis. Align daily activities with overall company Goals and Project Objectives. Maintain flexibility and readiness to support dynamic waterfront operations and changing project demands. Monitor and control project through administrative direction of on-site supervisors and subcontractors to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget. Investigate safety hazards and manage all other risks by implementing appropriate corrective actions. Abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive company, employee, and Project information, sharing details with only authorized personnel as appropriate. Maintain a commitment to promote and enforce Quality and Environmental, Health & Safety Policies. All other tasks assigned by Operations and Executive Management team. Education and work experience Requirements · Strong understanding of Maritime Vessels Repair and Maintenance · Must be able to obtain TWIC card within 90 days of hire · Must be able to obtain SCP (Shipyard Competent Person) cert within 90 days of hire · Must have a valid Washington State drivers license with a driving record that is acceptable to our commercial insurance policy · Effective written and verbal English communication skills · Flexible availability · Computer skills: Microsoft word, Outlook, Excel, etc. · Project Bidding, Estimation, and Scheduling Experience · Strong understanding of Maritime Vessels, ABS, USCG, and other governing agencies’ standards and regulations · Basic math and geometry · 10+ years in Maritime industry · 10+ years in leadership roles · 5+ years in project management · 5+ years of project estimating Preferred Skills · Journey level welder/fitter structural and pipe · Equipment opera…
