Responsibilities The Senior Production Scheduler is an advanced planning professional responsible for optimizing production schedules across multiple manufacturing areas while balancing customer demand, material availability, labor constraints, and operational capacity. This role serves as a subject matter expert in scheduling, capacity analysis, ERP planning systems, and production flow management. The Senior Production Scheduler partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, and Customer Service to proactively identify risks, evaluate alternatives, and maintain high levels of schedule attainment and customer satisfaction. Manage complex production schedules across multiple manufacturing cells, product families, or value streams. Perform detailed capacity analysis and scenario planning to support changing customer demand and business priorities. Identify production bottlenecks and develop actionable recommendations to improve throughput and schedule performance. Analyze demand patterns, order trends, and production constraints to support decision-making. Drive resolution of material, labor, equipment, and scheduling conflicts that impact customer commitments. Develop and maintain advanced planning, scheduling, and capacity reports. Utilize ERP and planning tools to evaluate manufacturing performance and forecast future capacity requirements. Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and large customer projects by assessing scheduling and capacity impacts. Recommend process improvements that increase scheduling accuracy, schedule attainment, and planning efficiency. Participate in cross-functional projects related to inventory optimization, manufacturing flow, and operational performance. Serve as a planning and scheduling subject matter expert for ERP functionality, scheduling methods, and capacity management. Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership regarding schedule risks, capacity concerns, and customer commitments. Position Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, manufacturing operations, or supply chain functions. Minimum 5 years of ERP planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
